I am filling out job applications. What is a polite way to say I was fired for being late 3 times in a 90 day?

Guess you have to turn it into a positive. "I was fired for being late but that has certainly taught me a lesson. I have now made a really big change in my life to get organised to ensure it never happens again".

If you have other job experiences, just leave out this last job. If they are interested in hiring you, they might ask you what you've been up to lately. In that case, be honest. But don't deliberately mention it if you can; it's possible that they won't even consider hiring you because of your history of tardiness.

Do you have to say why at all? I don't think its necessary.

IF they let you go inside of your probation period that you don't need to mention working there at all.

If you do list it, I would note how long you worked there and leave it at that. If they ask you why, you can say it didn't work out. You don't have to be detailed about it.

You do not have to mention it on a job application.
All your former employer is allowed by law to tell a potential employer was that you did in deed work for them.

since you were there less than 90 days, you don't necessarily have to put it down. if you have to put it down and they are asking - why you left your last position, tell the truth.... scheduling conflicts.

Seriously?

Have some common sense. Don't TELL them you were fired. Do you really expect to get a job by putting that on your applications.

Don't mention it!! And by the way being late 3 times in 90 days is out of order.
