How much money do you need to become a commercial pilot in Australia?

Hi, iam 14years old and iam want to become a commercial pilot in Australia. How much money will i need to complete the entire course fulfilling and the hours to fly a commercial plane e.g qantas 747 etc....

A lot of money (six figures). That's why most jet pilots are ex-military pilots. The military pays for their training.

A lot of money (six figures). That's why most jet pilots are ex-military pilots. The military pays for their training.
The CPL - I/R and ME will be around A$75,000 -
You are now 14 of age - by the time you complete education it will be 100,000 -
For that you qualify to fly lightplanes commercially - i.e. banner towing, air taxi -
That is just the first step -
To be flying a 747 - much more money and many years of experience -
Such as jet experience and getting the ATPL -

the figures Skipper have given are spot on, although to start flying the B747 u will need to start flying short haul aircraft or even regional.

By The Way the Boeing 747-400 is being retired by Qantas and being replaced by the Airbus A380-800 but if u really want to fly the 747; flying for Atlas Air will be the best option as Qantas contracts Atlas Air for cargo.
