Percentage taken out of paycheck in Michigan(Taxes)?

Postby camille65 » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:55 am

I just got a job in Michigan, i work 8 hours and 45 minutes a week. i make 8.75$ an hour which is about 70$ a week. I am paid every 2 weeks so this means i am paid about 140$ a paycheck. I am 17 years old and turn 18 in about 6 months. So while i am 17, what percentage gets taken out of my paycheck, and what about when i turn 18?are there any other terms and conditions that are factors in determining this percentage? Thank you for your help

Brian: Your age has nothing to do with with holding. With holding isa function of your setup when you filled the paperwork when hired. The Federal W4 ask for single/married and the number of allowances which determines the with holding. Your state may follow the Federal guidelines or use a separate form like the W4.
