Should I cross-rate to CTN from CTI?

I have already enlisted into the navy as a CTI and am currently in DEP, however, i was doing research and came across the CTN rate. I was wondering if it would be a good decision financially to cross rate to a ctn? Would i increase my amount of possibilities for other jobs outside of the navy if i changed to CTN? Which of the two is more exciting of job within the navy?

financially it makes no difference, you will get paid the same. the security clearance is comparable, depending on billet and will be the most use afterward

every CTI I know HATES their job. it is long tedious hours spent in windowless rooms with headphones on transcribing

CTNs NEVER deploy and will never go OCONUS. you are limited to about 3 or 4 duty stations total. it too is tedious with long hours spent hacking and preventing hackers from doing their thing. it is also fairly new so no one is really sure what the career prospects are yet, in or out of the military.
