on my w2 form for my current job says that my employer hasnt been taking out federal taxes.

Remember, if your income is low enough or if you claim enough exemptions, you may not incur any tax obligation, so there would be no need to withhold anything.

Either you filled out your W-4 incorrectly and need to submit a new one, or you just make so little they aren't taking taxes out.

If you're in a lower income bracket, there could be no taxes due. Double check and make sure that you immediately change withholding status in the event that you believe you'll owe the IRS money for your projected income.

It's your responsibility to compare paystubs every time you get a check, and make sure that proper taxes are being withheld. Typing errors and getting in a hurry and omitting something could be the problem also, so make sure your W-2 is correct. Hope you don't end up oweing the IRS lots of money!

I didn't know W-2's talked
but if your employer is not withholding any income taxes it is very possible that your filed your W-4 wrong with them, you need to check that out, or give them a new updated one
or your gross income for the payroll period and your status may be low enough not to have any income taxes withheld
